Dark – I hope it’s better on the other side

have you ever walked through the dark?

and seen the other side

what is it like?

a hope of a better day or a better night.

is it like

being in a boat

in the middle of the endless choppy ocean

bewildered

drown in the deep

or let my loneliness seep into this salty air.

tell me what does it feel like

after you die.

the noises in your head

are the same as when you are staring at the stars high.

on the other side of the dark,

does stars really care about you

or is it just a myth

that the stars are your beloved people

who die.

is it so scary to jump straight from high

or is it nice to be wrapped in the blanket of air

as it holds you, making it all seem

fair.

are humans really a part of nature

because nature seems to care.

i remember holding that lily yesterday

it gave me this smile as it has accepted me for being mine.

i hope it’s better on the other side

because forests never seem to end

as you walk deep into inside.

i hope it’s better on the other side.

Poems

A Mirror

He always sent me roses

But one early morning

I woke up

I found a present on my door.

Not jewels, diamonds

Or dresses

But a mirror of all.

I asked him,

“What is this for?”

He said,

“Darling, I want you

To relish your brave eyes

When you confront your fears

To yourself.

I want you to admire

Your glowing sunkissed face.

And when you are afraid to make choices,

I want you to see the struggles of lines

On your forehead

In those jittery phases of your life.

Looking at the mirror,

I want you to make faces

And embrace your wild and crazy side.

I want you to flaunt

Your scars to the mirror

Because babe, these reflect

The brave stories that always went unheard.

I want you to make peace

With the innocence of your morning messy hair

And also, with the well styled one

That you do

When we go on a date.

I want you to take care

Of the delicacy of your smile & tears

While reading my letters and the books

That I have sent.

So put this mirror on the wall

And deepen your relationship

With yourself

Above all.”

Poems

Always.

Always.
Much more than forever
To be inked in the letters.
Even for once
It will be missed
All those dreams
Of us
Will be shattered.
Dearth of our love
Will drear the
Purple and red lantern rings
Hanging in our room
Longing for the reflection
Of the promises made
In those raw pages of letter
Will turn the mirrors
Into pieces of opaque glass.
Reminiscing our cuddles
The silken bedsheet
Will remain tucked neatly
On my side
For days
And the unexplained fiery shadows
Of curtains
Will fill my absence.
Always
Holds the habit of
Our love letters
And us.

Poems

Glow

Do we seek glow

To glow a bit more

To let others embrace us

For who we are not

But who we trying to be

Do we seek glow

To just hide ourselves

Behind the the transparent walls

Of the light

Which doesn’t even has its own road.

Why do we seek glow?

Poems

Our Beautiful Years

It’s not just about
Our intertwined fingers
Digging deeper,
Our evening walks
While we talked
A little more than usual,
The pillow fights
In those cheerful nights,
The long drives
Faster than our
Delightful lives,
All our warmth
While the sun rose
On the Eastern wall,
And the sweet kisses
On the world’s beautiful bridges.
When I look back
To Our Beautiful Years
Spent together
I see us embracing
Good habits of each other
Emboldening us to live better,
All the opinionated thoughts
Became finer together
Than apart,
All the bad fights
And the sick nights
In the end
Us making everything
Work right.
It’s a blend of snowstorms,
Evenings with moon settled
All calm.
